About Suneland Bikes

Sun-E-Land Bikes is a family-owned and operated business here in Bellingham, WA, peddling bikes since 1984. Official, we opened as a business in 2020 renting and selling electric bikes. We are locals to the core and know about the best places to visit here in Whatcom, Skagit and the San Jaun Islands. We rent pedal bikes and e-bikes for use around town and on local adventures. We have bicycles for all sizes for use on the pump-track located directly behind our shop.

Bellingham is one of the most bike-friendly cities in the United States and we take pride in our ride!!! Bike culture is prevalent in Bellingham, the ‘City of Subdued Excitement,’ You can travel anywhere in town with ease and style on our rental fleet. We are here to help you plan a route and experience the best that Bellingham offers on our parks and trails. Additionally, we offer tours and customizable adventures for your group or party.

We love that biking in Bellingham has become a lifestyle for many locals. Our unofficial slogan is: “Welcome to Bellingham; now get on your bike!” Whenever you have a visitor come to town, encourage them to experience Bellingham by bike. When you visit Sun-E-Land Bikes, we have bikes for everyone to ride. We rent e-bikes, pedal bikes, mountain bikes, dirt jumpers, BMX and kids bikes to ride at the pump-track, or on many of the trails that start from our shop at The Portal Container Village.

Riding safely is one of our main goals. We offer helmets as part of our rentals and provide locks, lights and water bottles with all of our rentals. Whatcom County has an amazing public service that leads classes, courses, and practice sessions for new bicyclists through the Smart Trips program. This program has loads of incentives for individuals, businesses, and neighborhoods to encourage riding bikes and bus daily modes of transportation. We can help you get set up with any and all equipment needed to ensure your safety.
